Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Got Out of Hand?
My creative journey is a colorful dance of intuition and experimentation, where rules are mere suggestions and boundaries are meant to be pushed. Embracing a bold and bright palette, I aim to challenge the norm and reestablish what it means to create art on my own terms.
Growing up in the Bible Belt as a sports athlete, I was expected to follow a traditional path—one paved with discipline, structure, and predictability. But deep down, I knew that life wasn’t mine. Turning to art became my act of rebellion—a break from what was expected and a step toward discovering who I truly am.
My interest in art was an act of rebellion. I see my art, not only as a source of aesthetic pleasure but also as a form of resistance, empowerment, and healing.
Influenced by Western Films and Outlaw Country Music, I aim to create paintings that encapsulate the travels, stories, longing, and vulnerability of a drifter on the run from no one, but himself.
